The Guesthouse RAKUTENDO ANNEX is a private lodging with 2 guestrooms and capacity of 5 persons, managed by beans-shop RAKUTENDO. This building was constructed about 90 years ago by Japanese traditional architectural style. It is located in downtown Kyoto, so you can experience ordinary people’s daily lives.

concept

Our concept is "organic life".

*You can cook freely with organic seasonings ,like soysauce, miso, oliveoil, vineger which the shop RAKUTENDO deals in.
*Of course, you can buy organic natural foods, like beans, pasta, ryebread, jam, coffee, and so on at the RAKUTENDO shop.

*The bedclothes , pillow cases, and face & bath towels are all made of organic cotton, in consideration of direct touch to skin.
*We by ourselves wash and dry all bedclothes and so on with liquid soap, using the washing and drying machine.
*The shampoo and conditioner is made of clay, a Japanese product, free from synthetic surfactant.
*The Japanese "tatami" mats on the 1st floar（common space）are made of "washi" Japanese paper.

Notice：While staying at the guesthouse, we request you to abstain from perfume and not to use a synthetic detergent and a softner in washing（This means consideration to guests suffering chemical sensitivity）. Thank you.

The Guesthouse RAKUTENDO ANNEX is situated at a convenient transportation.

（１）From the nearest bus stop, Marutamachi-onmae or Marutamachi-shichihonmatsu, of 5 minutes' walk, you can access to the next famous sightseeing spots without transfer.　※＝world cultural heritage

＊to the west：Uzumasa-eigamura, Arashiyama, Tenryuji temple※
＊to the north：Kinkakuji temple※, Ryoanji temple※, Ninnaji temple※
＊to the east：Nijyojyo castle※, Kyoto imperial palace, Ginkakuji temple※
＊to the south：Toji temple※
＊to the city center ：Hankyu Kyoto-kawaramachi sta., Keihan Sanjyo sta.

（２）From the nearest JR Enmachi station of 12 minutes' walk, you can access to the next comparatively far famous sightseeing spots and cities.　※＝world cultural heritage

Arashiyama、Kiyomizudera temple※, Fushimiinari shrine, Byoudouin temple※ in Uji, Nara, Kobe, Osaka, Enryakuji temple※ at Sakamoto in Otsu.

We recommend that you rent the whole house as a city villa, stay during sevral days and enjoy a relaxing time in Kyoto .

＊In case of renting, please fill in the 【message】column of 〈Reservation Application Form〉.

※When you stay over 2 nights, you can use the guesthouse freely in the daytime.

House Rules

＊check-in time　16:00-19:30
＊check-out time　7:00-9:00
　※If the guesthouse isn't used in the morning by RAKUTENDO activities, the above check-out time may be expanded to 10 a.m. for free.
＊No smoking in and outside of the guesthouse. Please stay silent at night.

【basic fee】１night
　＊adult（over 13 years）：7,000 yen　
　＊child（7-12 years）：50%OFF
　＊infant（under 6 years）：free
　＊a physically or mentally challenged person and his or her helper ／ students：20%OFF
　＊a person on welfare and his or her family：40%OFF

【Discount】
Consecutive night discount is available, and long-term （2 - 6 nights）discount is also negotiable.

※In addition to the basic fee, the Value Added Tax（10%）and the Accommodation Tax of Kyoto（200 yen per 1 person 1 night）are levied.

※If you evacuate temporarily from natural disaster, domestic violence and so on, we are pleased to provide the guesthouse for you as a shelter in a short term（The accommodation fee is reduced or free.）. In such cases, please write your situation in the 【message】column of 〈Reservation Application Form〉.

booking

Foreigners：Please apply from 〈Reservation Application Form〉.

Within 2 days from your application, we will send you a reservation confirmation mail. If by any accident you cannot receive the mail, we request you to inform us of your booking details.

payment

On paying your accommodation fee, please do it in checkin or checkout through cash or cashless payment as below.

If you are obliged to cancell the reservation, please inform us by e-mail or phone as ealry as possible. No cancellation fee is charged.
